Welcome to the website covering the two benefices of Berrow and Longdon, in the South Western corner of Worcester Diocese in the shadow of the Malvern Hills. Or more correctly this covers the United Benefice of Berrow with Pendock, Eldersfield, Hollybush and Birtsmorton and the Benefice of Longdon, Castlemorton, Bushley and Queenhill with Holdfast, all of which is quite a mouthful!
This Saturday there is lots going on – the pop up Festive Fayre at Berrow Hall from 10am to 12 noon, followed by the Pendock School Christmas Fayre 2pm to 4pm and then the Eldersfield Musical Evening in the Music Room at Eldersfield Court in the evening – who says things are quiet and sleepy in the countryside!
We continue our advent celebrations on Sunday, with three services across the day:
- 8.30am Holy Communion at Bushley.
- 10.30am Holy Communion at St Faith’s Berrow
- 4pm Carols, Candles & Cake at Eldersfield Church
We continue to pray for the people of Ukraine and those in the Middle East, and Bishop John has asked us to send out this prayer into our congregations and communities:
be present with the people of Ukraine, Israel and Gazza
at this time of danger, fear, and conflict.
Grant that wise and peaceable counsels may yet prevail,
and give to all suffering nations the freedom they desire and deserve.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Do keep an eye on either the calendar on this web site, our Benefice magazine, the Castlemorton newsletter or our Facebook page for up to the minute news on our service schedule, and keep in mind that we continue to hold Phone Church services at 7pm every Friday – click here for details on how to join us.
