Sunday Services with a Christmassy Feel – Sunday 5th December

Suddenly there’s a Christmassy feeling in the air – and its not just the frosty mornings.  This Sunday we have our morning service of Holy Communion at 10.30am at Birtsmorton Church led by Rev Julie, followed in the afternoon at 4pm by that great Eldersfield occasion of Carols, Candles and Cakes where we get the festive season off to a great start in our beautiful candlelit church building.  Come along to sing some carols, eat some cake and give thanks for all the hard work of our band of hard working volunteers.

Do please bring along a face covering to wear whilst at any of our services in a building, particularly important in the light of the spread of the latest Covid variant.

Festive Fayre at St Faith’s, 4th December

Our  Festive Fayre is back in pop up outdoor form once more.  Join us at St Faith’s to promenade up and down the church path and stock up on Christmas goodies.  Flowers and wreaths, jams and jellies, cakes and bakes and of course a cracking raffle – its all here, along with a warming tot of mulled wine.  We’re open from 11am til 12 noon so get there promptly or you’ll miss the cream of the crop.  All are welcome, old friends and new, a good way to kick off Christmas in sociable, safe and festive fashion.  Flyer with more details can be viewed or downloaded here.

Compline, 3rd December

Advent is upon us, with all the busyness of the run up to Christmas.  Step out of the hustle and bustle and join us for the quiet, contemplative service of Compline on Phone Church, via Zoom.  We meet at 7pm to catch up on the week’s news and events, and then David will lead us in prayer and worship from 7.15pm.  All are very welcome, and your service sheet can be viewed or downloaded here.
