Family Service, Advent Sunday 28th November, St Faith’s Berrow

Doug Braund leads our 10.30am Family Service at St Faith’s this Advent Sunday.  He describes it as follows;

‘Happy new year!  You may think I’m a month early, but this Sunday is Advent Sunday, which is the first day of the church’s year. Advent means “Coming”, so we can assume it’s something about the birth of Jesus.  But it’s even more than that – come along at 10.30am in St Faith’s, Berrow, and perhaps we will find out.’

Please do come along and join us as we celebrate the start of a new Church year, but do remember to bring a face covering with you to wear whilst inside our Church building.

Compline, 26th November

Friday night signals the start of a busy weekend for Doug! First of all he leads our regular Friday service of Compline on Phone Church via Zoom -courtesy of Rev Julie’s Zoom Room.  We meet at 7pm to catch up on how everyone’s week has gone and then at 7.15pm, Doug leads us in this ancient, contemplative said service of psalm and prayer – a great way to draw the week to a close and look forward to a well earned break at the weekend.

Not for Doug though, who also leads our 10.30am Family Service on Sunday morning at St Faiths – not just Santa’s elves working overtime at this time of year…….Your Compline service sheet can be viewed or downloaded here.

BCH Tea Party, 25th November

The Birtsmorton, Castlemorton and Hollybush History Society meet at Castlemorton Village Hall on Thursday 25th November to celebrate the launch of their latest journal.  The tea party runs from 2.30pm to 4pm, and, as well as copies of the journal, the Covid wall hanging will also be on display.  A great occasion to go along to, more details on this poster which can be viewed or downloaded here.
