Morning Prayer, 13th January

On this day in 1691, George Fox, founder of the Society of Friends or Quakers, died and its also the day he is remembered in the Church calendar each year.  So if we were doing this properly, we would all Zoom in silence for 15 minute and wait for the Spirit to move us to speech – which would be great, but just in case, I’ve done a service sheet as well, which you can view or download here.  We’ll be online at Phone Church from 11am, first the service, then the chat – always good to share a virtual coffee together.

Baptism of Christ, 10th January 2021

As we find ourselves in another period of total lockdown, so we have taken the difficult decision to move all services online for the safety of our congregation, volunteers and clergy.  Which means that this Sunday at 11am we celebrate the Baptism of Christ on Phone Church via Zoom.  Rev Julie will lead our worship, and you can view or download your service sheet in landscape format here or portrait format here.  All are very welcome to join us.

Compline, 8th January

It may be snowy outside – cold but very beautiful – so stay in by the fire and warm yourself up by coming along to Compline at 7pm on Phone Church.  First we chat, then at 7.15pm we join together to say the ancient monastic service together.  Its a very calm and meditative way to start the weekend.  Your service sheet can be viewed or downloaded here, and all are very welcome.
